What is RoadSleep?

RoadSleep helps long-haul truck drivers find hotels along the U.S. interstate system. We don't charge drivers. We don't take commissions on bookings. Hotels pay a small fee to feature their listing during specific hours.

What data we collect

Two kinds, and we treat them differently:

1. While you browse: your location

We use your phone's GPS to show hotels near you and sort them by distance. This data stays on your phone — it's not stored on our servers.

2. When you call a featured hotel: arrival tracking

If you allow it (we ask the first time), we check your distance to that hotel every 60 seconds for up to 90 minutes after the call. We record the closest distance reached. We do not store a trail of your locations — just one number per call: how close you got.

This is how hotels know their advertising worked. It's also the only location data we ever store about you.

Who sees your data

The hotel you calledsees: the time you called, whether you arrived, and how close you got. That's it. They do not see your name, phone number, vehicle, or anywhere else you went.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party not directly involved in delivering the service.

We do not run third-party ads inside RoadSleep, so we don't pass your info to ad networks.

How long we keep it

Call records (which hotel you called, when, distance) are kept indefinitely so hotels can review their performance. We aggregate them after 12 months — individual call rows older than a year are bucketed by hotel and month, with the per-row arrival distance dropped.

Your rights

You can:

To exercise any of these, email privacy@roadsleep.com. We respond within 30 days as required by applicable law.

Cookies & analytics

We use a small amount of local storage on your device to remember your settings (like your tracking choice and the last interstate you viewed). We do not use third-party analytics scripts or tracking pixels.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we use your data, we'll prompt you for consent again. Cosmetic changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
